Mumbai: A food delivery agent died after a speeding auto knocked him down, and a truck ran over him on the Western Express Highway in the early hours of Thursday. Both the drivers fled the spot. The deceased has been identified as Akhilesh Chowdhary Kamat, who was on his way to complete an order, police said. An FIR has been registered under the BNS. Locals rushed the injured victim to VN Desai Hospital, where he was declared dead before admission.The food delivery agent was residing with his cousin in Mumbai Central, and his family members were informed about the accident, the official said.Police are scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify the vehicles involved in the accident.
