Pune: Officials of a private training academy in Handewadi in Hadapsar were booked on Saturday for abetting the suicide of a 16-year-old student, a resident of Beed, who was found hanging in the hostel room on Nov 10, 2025. The Phursungi police had recorded it as an accidental death the same day.The academy trains students for entrance examinations to National Defence Academy and Services Selection Board.The deceased student’s father lodged a complaint with the police on Saturday after which a case of abettment to suicide was registered against the officials of the academy.Police said that the student’s father claimed that the academy officials ill-treated his son after his roommate claimed that he had stolen some cash.
