Mumbai: BMC commissioner Ashwini Bhide on Friday visited KEM Hospital and called for better implementation of the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS). She also inspected various medical wards, the intensive care unit (ICU), the general male ward, and the accident and emergency department. Furthermore, she reviewed the progress of infrastructure projects, such as the construction of new hospital buildings and the expansion of bed capacity.Bhide directed the hospital to centralise facilities like operating theatres and blood testing labs to simplify patient navigation. The hospital was also asked to establish a multi-speciality robotic surgery facility within the surgical department.
