Pune: A school bus ferrying around 30 students on Friday morning collided with a roadside electric pole near Mhasoba Temple in Hadapsar after the driver lost control of the vehicle.A few students and the driver were injured in the incident. The injured were being treated at a hospital for minor injuries. The Hadapsar police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the school bus driver, a resident of Hadapsar, on Friday.According to the police, the bus was on its way to a private English-medium school in Malwadi near Hadapsar when the driver lost control and rammed into the electric pole. The school has hired the buses on a contract.Police said the bus was travelling from Pharate Chowk towards Mhasoba Temple with around 30 students on board. As the road was narrow, the driver reportedly accelerated when another vehicle approached from the opposite direction.In an attempt to avoid a collision, the driver took a left and lost control over the steering wheel. The bus then crashed into electricity pole.
