Sonam Kapoor married Anand Ahuja in May 2018 and the couple became parents to a baby boy in August 2022. Ever since she tied the know, Sonam has largely been spending time in London as Anand has a house there. She visits her family in Mumbai every few months or if she is here for work. Meanwhile, Sonam is truly enjoying being a mom to Vayu.
In a latest photo shared by Anand, the couple can be seen taking a walk with him on the streets of London. Vayu can be seen walking in a winter jacket, giving quite a cute teddy vibe. Anand wrote along with this picture, “🎼 Skip to my Lou’ … found my partner, love is true! ☃️🧣❄️🛷 #EverydayPhenomenal #VayusParents”
Vayu celebrated his second birthday this year and Anand had shared his picture with Sonam as he wrote, “and in awe of this beautiful soul Im so fortunate to spend this- and hopefully all my lives with – Happy birthday to your son, my Jaan @sonamkapoor ❤️ #EverydayPhenomenal #VayusParents”
Sonam and Anand have refrained from revealing their son’s face to the world. While announcing his name to the world, Sonam had revealed the deeper meaning behind their son’s name ‘Vayu’. The actress had explained in a long note, “In Hindu scriptures Vayu is one of the aanch tatvas. He is the deity of breath, the spiritual father of Hanuman, Bheem and Madhav and He is the incredibly powerful lord of wind. Praana is Vayu, a guiding force of life and intelligence in the universe. All the deity’s of Praana, Indra, Shiva and Kali relate to Vayu. He can breathe life into beings as easily as he can destroy evil. Vayu is said to be heroic, brave and mesmerisingly beautiful. Thank you for your continued wishes and blessings for Vayu and his family.”
The actress has said that she’s ready to get back to work in movies now and will be able to balance mom duties with her career well. It’s the work-life balance which she has learnt from her dad Anil Kapoor.
