On October 12, politician Baba Siddiqui’s assasination sent shockwaves across the country, especially in Mumbai and the entertainment world. Baba Siddiqui was close to many folks from the world of movies, especially Salman Khan’s family. Despite facing death threats himself , Salman not only reached the hospital where Baba Siddiuqui was admitted after being shot, but also attended his funeral procession on the next day.

Now in an exclusive interview with ETimes, Arbaaz Khan for the first time opened up about the impact of the incident on the family.and said, “We all are being strong, let’s put it that way.”
Salman’s entire family including brother Sohail , sister Arpita, Alvira and her husband Atul Agnihotri had attended the funeral. Even his mother Salma Khan had gone to visit Baba Siddiqui’s family after his demise.
Post the incident, Arbaaz Khan is back at work, and is all set to release his movie Bandaa Singh Chaudhary with Arshad Warsi, and Meher Vij in the lead. The film has been directed by newcomer Abhishek Saxena, and is slated to release on 25th October. The film is set during the tumultuous period of late 70s and early 80s of Punjab, when it was caught in a violent secessionist movement. Talking about his reason to come on board for the film as a producer, Arbaaz said , “ I was really excited about the material, and it appealed to me, and I’m doing my best for the film to reach maximum audience.”
