Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 requires just Rs 5 Crore to cross Rs 600 crore mark | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

After becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao‘s Stree 2 is currently chasing the Rs 600 crore milestone. The film is now within touching distance, requiring just Rs 5 crore more to reach that golden figure and become the first Hindi film to do so.

In 7 weeks, Stree 2 minted Rs 591.95 crore and added another Rs 2.65 crore in its 8th weekend. However, on Monday, the film saw a nearly 70% drop, collecting just Rs 40 lakh according to early estimates by Sacnilk, bringing the overall collection to Rs 595 crore. Now, it needs just Rs 5 crore more, setting an unprecedented benchmark for future films.
However, given the way box office collections are dipping with each passing day, the film will have to stay in theaters for a longer period to collect the remaining Rs 5 crore. Additionally, the film has already been released on OTT on a rental basis and will soon be available for wider screening. In the next two days, Stree 2 will also face competition from multiple releases, including Rajinikanth‘s Vettaiyan, Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s Jigra, and Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.
