Actor Ranjeet reminisced about a memorable evening at Sunil and Nargis Dutt‘s Mumbai home during his second day in the city. In an interview, he shared his first encounter with Sunil Dutt, noting his charm, and described how he later met Nargis at their residence.
Ranjeet recalled a memorable experience during his early days in Mumbai when he visited the Dutt residence. He described how Nargis would prepare a dish called “Matka Gosht” for her guests.
As the night went on, the food kept being reheated until Nargis eventually scolded everyone for drinking too much, insisting that the food wouldn’t be reheated anymore. He felt fortunate to have met such iconic personalities during that time. The veteran star reminisced about the joyful atmosphere of that night, noting how Nargis took the time to personally serve her guests. He expressed his surprise at seeing such a prominent star engaging in household duties and staying up late to ensure everyone was taken care of.
The Bollywood actor fondly recalled a moment when Sunil Dutt served him meat, despite his vegetarian preferences. Sunil playfully insisted that it was made by Nargis, saying even goats eat grass. He was astonished to see Nargis, the iconic actress, still awake at 2 AM, serving guests and directing her helper to prepare the food. It was hard for him to believe that such a legendary figure would be so hands-on, personally serving dishes like paranthas to everyone.
