Kareena Kapoor Khan’s The Buckingham Murders earns just Rs 10 lakh on 2nd Monday | Hindi Movie News – Times of India


Kareena Kapoor Khan will be completing 25 years into the business, having started her career with JP Dutta’s Refugee opposite Abhishek Bachchan; since then she has gone on to deliver many successful films like Jab We Met, Omkara, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Bodyguard, Good Newz, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham etc.

She is currently in the phase where is finely balancing the commercial films, like Crew with Tabu and Kriti Sanon, and slightly off beat and risky films like Jaane Jaan with Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma, and her latest project, The Buckingham Murders, directed by Hansal Mehta.In her latest film, the actress plays a detective who has been tasked with the murderi nvestigation of a child, all while grappling with the grief of losing her own.
The film in its first week earned just Rs 7.65 crore, making it one of the lowest box office opening for a Kareena starrer film. But over its second weekend the film added another Rs 1.55 crore, especially on Friday as ticket prices were just Rs 99 on the occasion of National Cinema Day. But on its second Monday the film crashed to collecting just Rs 10 lakh, thus taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 9.3 crore. The film has been released in two versions, one is in Hindi and another is Hinglish. It is the Hindi version which has contributed the most with Rs 5.59 crore collection.

Kareena’s next is Rohit Shetty- Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again which is slated to release on Diwali. It would be clashing with Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Triptii Dimri’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. She is also rumourd to be part of Meghna Gulzar’s next film post Sam Bahadur.
